Despite his primary focus, Allan's professional reach has traversed the breadth of the UK, from the serene hills of Perthshire to the bustling metropolis of London.

Since earning his qualification in 1989, Allan's professional journey has traversed a diverse landscape of sectors, beginning with housing renovation and new builds alongside esteemed organizations such as Wigtown District Council. His expertise further flourished through educational endeavours with Dumfries and Galloway Council, followed by impactful contributions to Cumbria County Council and Capita Symonds, where his portfolio expanded to encompass schools, Sure Start initiatives, and a myriad of commercial and community projects.

In 2006, Allan embarked on a new chapter, joining a private practice in Carlisle while concurrently establishing a part-time venture of his own. It wasn't until 2018 that he took the leap to full-time self-employment, a decision that has proven fortuitous as he's since had the privilege to lend his expertise to an extensive array of projects. From the intricate details of domestic extensions to the grand vision of housing developments, Allan's scope of work has spanned historic buildings, community ventures, and commercial enterprises, each project a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence.
